Correctional healthcare sits at the intersection of medicine, public health, ethics, health equity and public safety. How should that care be designed, delivered and measured?

The University of Texas Medical Branch Center for Correctional Healthcare Excellence (CCHE) hosts its inaugural annual symposium — a national convening of clinicians, researchers, policymakers, correctional administrators and public health experts examining the future of correctional healthcare delivery. The program focuses on innovative, patient-centered, evidence-based and high-value care models for justice-involved populations, one of the nation's most underserved patient groups.

• Mental health and substance use disorders
• Chronic disease management and specialty care access

The day also includes structured networking, exhibitor engagement, and opportunities for trainees and early-career investigators to connect with national leaders in correctional health scholarship.
